A special note to Employers of Helping Professionals
Social workers, intervention workers, front line workers, emergency responders, etc. are at high risk of trauma, burnout, compassion fatigue, and vicarious trauma - and often struggle to get the support and resources they need to manage these stressors. Being proactive in providing mental health support and resources can help reduce stigma around mental health, and provide the tools they need to lessen the impact of the unavoidable stressors in their work.
